Key People
eXtrapola's staff consists of 25 people. 90% of them have a university degree in science, economics and communications. Although we come from different educational and professional backgrounds, we all share the same passion for technology, new media and challenges.
Over 60% of eXtrapola’s employees have been with the company for more than 3 years.
Our dedicated staff is what makes eXtrapola stand out and our proprietary technology is a clear demonstration of this. Below you find some of our key people’s profiles.
ENRICO CALDARI
Enrico is head of sales and marketing at eXtrapola. Enrico has gained significant experience in online journalism and socio-political research at the Carlo Cattaneo Institute in Bologna. Afterwards, he became member of the board of the municipality of Gradara, Italy, with responsibilities of tourism development. He earned his BA with honors in statistics and social sciences at the University of Bologna and his PhD in social research at the University of Trento, Italy. Enrico speaks French and English.
LIVIO CALEBOTTA
Livio is a member of eXtrapola’s board of directors. After 5 years in KPMG as a consultant, Livio has worked for last 15 years in senior positions in administration, finance and management in tier one Italian companies, most notably Marr, Maggioli Editore and Biesse. Livio earned a BA in economics from Bologna University and a MBA from SDA Bocconi University in Milan. He speaks French and English.
ENEA MANSUTTI
Enea is CEO of P.Review and leads eXtrapola’s IT staff. In 1990 Enea started his career as a IT entrepreneur by launching SID Informatica, a multimedia software company. In 1999 he started P.Review as a marketing vehicle for PressToday, a press-clipping software that he developed. At end 2006 P.Review was acquired by eXtrapola. Enea is author of various software manuals for Hoepli and Jackson Libri. He speaks English and French.
STEFANO MARIONI
Stefano is co-founder of eXtrapola and chairs the company’s board. After a BA in economics at the University of Rome, he started a career in finance at Salomon Brothers in London where he became senior Italian bond trader. In 1998 he moved on to Unicredit in Milan as head of proprietary bond trading. In 2000 Stefano was instrumental in the start-up of eXtrapola and has ever since actively worked to expand the company’s commercial network. In 2002 he earned his MBA at Profingest, a business school in Bologna. Stefano speaks English, French and Spanish.
MAURIZIO MOROLLI
Maurizio is a member of eXtrapola’s board of directors. After a BA in economics at the University of Bologna, he spent more than a decade in London where he worked in tier one financial institutions, most notably Fitch-Ibca, a rating agency, as head of Italian banking team and Barclays Capital as Director of Financial Institutions. Since 1999 Maurizio is CFO at Cassa di Risparmio della Repubblica di San Marino. Maurizio speaks English and Spanish.
FABIO SOLERI
From end 2007 Fabio is eXtrapola’s CEO. From 1999 to 2006 Fabio was part of the Investment Banking division of Merrill Lynch where he worked in the energy and utilities sectors on IPOs and M&A advisory. Previously, Fabio was at Euromobiliare and Bear Stearns. Fabio majored in political science at Bologna University and earned a MA in international economics from Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). He speaks English and German.
